Kid Dynamo™, we believe it is time to usher in a new age of responsible
consumerism; where form, materials, and function play equal parts.
Where informed decisions about the products our children play with,
live with, and wear are based on quality materials, design, and where
they are manufactured. We believe that by making responsible and
informed decisions, our children and our planet will benefit.
Why
do we feel so strongly about where and how the products we sell are
made? Because we, Erin Carter, mother of two small children, and Keri
Levy, mother of one small child, make these kinds of decisions every
day. We are concerned about our kid’s health and the ambient environment
in which they live, eat, breathe, play. The products that we buy for
our children make an impact on their atmosphere as well as the
environment at large. Our dream was to
create a progressive and environmentally conscious company that promotes
natural, sustainable products with a certain cool modernism to the
design aesthetic for our and your children.
Kid
Dynamo™ has done the research for you. The merchandise that we carry is
organic, natural, and eco-friendly; free from harmful chemical
additives, volatile organic compounds, pthalates, PBE’s, PVC’s,
formaldehyde, and lead. The companies that produce the items that we
carry are socially responsible, providing fair labor conditions as well
as environmentally-friendly manufacturing processes. Kid Dynamo™ also
believes in recycling/upcycling and the use of recyclable materials,
like vintage fabrics and recycled water bottles. We have been very
particular when creating or choosing the items we carry and we stand
behind all our products. We have taken the guess work out of the
equation and you, as a customer, can be confident in the items that you
purchase.
A
note about our shipping and packaging practices: Several of the items
that Kid Dynamo carries come to you straight from the manufacturer. By
not having these items shipped to our warehouse and then on to you saves
on the amount of fuel expended and toxins released into the
atmosphere. All items that are shipped from the Kid Dynamo warehouse are
inspected before being packed. The packaging materials we use are
recycled, recyclable, and/or reused. We do not purchase plastic or
Styrofoam materials, though we will reuse materials that come to
our warehouse from manufacturers to pack your orders. Please
recycle, compost, or reuse these packaging materials, keeping our
landfills free from unnecessary waste.
